A United Airlines flight headed to Nevada made an emergency landing at Newark Liberty International Airport to deal with a mechanical problem, according to the airline.
It comes the day after a Delta Air Lines flight returned to Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport after the crew reported a “haze” in the flight deck shortly after the flight took off. The Delta flight, which was headed to Columbia, S.C., safely offloaded 94 passengers and five crew members.
