A fire has broken out on an Air China flight, forcing the plane to make an emergency landing, with a lithium battery in a passenger’s carry-on luggage blamed for the incident.
The Air China flight CA139 from Hangzhou, China, to Seoul, South Korea, was forced to make an emergency landing in Shanghai when the battery “spontaneously combusted” in the cabin on October 20.
