Thursday November 27th, 2025 A Jetstar flight has diverted to Sydney after an “unusual smell” was detected on board. Emergency services were called to Sydney Airport in Mascot about 2:20pm on Friday following reports of smoke on a plane carrying 173 passengers. Jetstar confirmed the affected flight, JQ650, from the Gold Coast to Canberra, made a “priority landing” in Sydney after the smell was noticed in the cabin.
