The first incident of the day involved an Air France Airbus A350-900 (F-HUVC) performing the airline’s daily flight AF264 from Paris Charles De Gaulle Airport to Seoul’s Incheon International Airport. The flight was cruising at 35,000 feet over the Austrian Alps, nearly an hour after departure, when the flight crew detected a burning odor in the cockpit. The crew immediately donned their oxygen masks and made an emergency diversion to Munich Airport, some 70 nautical miles to the north.
