A Delta Air Lines flight from Boston to New Orleans was forced to turn around shortly after takeoff after a “smoky odor” was detected in the cabin. Flight 1398 took off from Logan International Airport at 8:55 a.m. on Sunday (March 2) morning. After just a few minutes in the air, the flight crew reported the odor and the pilot declared an emergency and returned to Boston.
